Digital Experiment Update: Creating the Product
It’s time for another update on the Digital Product Experiment. Things have moved a little slower than planned, mostly because I’ve been unwell and had to take some time off from my usual client work. When I returned, there was a bit of catch-up to do, and the passive income work naturally took a back seat for a little while. That’s just how it goes sometimes when you’re running a business.
If I’m honest, I’ve really struggled with this product. I kept questioning whether it was good enough and whether I was creating something of real value. That’s not normally something I get stuck on, especially when it comes to digital products. I usually find the process enjoyable and quite creative. But this time, the added layer of pressure from blogging about it and sharing the process publicly has definitely had an impact. It created a bit of a block for me, and I’ve had to work through that while reminding myself of why I started this in the first place.
I’ve also been very aware that people are following along, and that awareness has definitely turned up the volume on perfectionism and rejection sensitivity. Still, after a few late nights, lots of brainstorming, and a bit of gentle nudging from myself, the product is finished. And the best part? I really like it. It’s something I’ll use myself as a neurodivergent business owner, which is always a good sign.
My goal from the beginning was to create something useful for the people I already support in my work, and I feel like I’ve done that. I spent a total of 3 hours and 25 minutes on the product, including all the brainstorming and design time. For full transparency, I used some Canva designs and adapted them heavily to suit. I also used ChatGPT to support some of the content inside the planner.

Now that the product is done, the next phase begins. This week, I’ll be uploading it to my Stan Store and making it available for sale. This is where things get really challenging for me, because marketing and sales don’t come easily to me. I’ll be documenting that part too, including what I try, the social posts I use, and any email templates I create.
So here’s to the next phase of sharing the product and seeing how quickly I can reach 100 sales. Wish me luck as I step into what is definitely the most uncomfortable part of the whole experiment.
